ECE Colloquium: Hak Sun Kim (UNIST) “Insight of future display”

Abstract
The seminar will lead us to understand the meaning of interdisciplinary study and provide various perspectives for the future display with the convergence of science technology and humanities. The development of the science technology can be understood via the history of art and humanities. Through the discussion, I suggest the milestones for advance of the display technology.
 
Speaker biography
Hak Sun Kim received the B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Korea Aerospace University in 1986, and he also received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Korea Aerospace University in 1990 and 1993. He was a professor at Hanbat National University from 1993 to 2008. He worked as a Vice President of Ubiquitous Convergence Team, Device Solution Team at SEM, SMD from 2008 to 2010, and he was also a Senior Vice President of Core Technology Team at SMD. In addition, he was a CTO of Samsung Display from 2013 to 2014. He was also an Executive Vice President of Development at Samsung Display.
Currently, he is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UNIST, Ulsan, Korea. His fields of interest are IoT System, Sensing Technology for Special Target, Multi-layer wireless communication and Future Display Technology.
