ECE Colloquium: Brian Ko(Hideep Inc.) “A Serial Entrepreneurship”

 
Abstract:
Brian Ko, Ph.D. is a successful serial technology entrepreneur. He founded HiDeep Inc., in 2010 to pursuit his dream of providing a technology that brings “richer & more intuitive user experience” to mobile device consumers. He developed 3D TOUCH technology for Andriod smartphone platform for the first time in the world. Prior to HiDeep, he founded Integrant Technologies Inc. in 2000, where he foresaw the need for TV on mobile devices and developed the world’s first CMOS RF tuner chips and technology supporting Satellite/Terrestrial DMB, ISDB-T, DVB-H and CMMB standards. Integrant later got acquired by Analog Devices at $160 million in 2006. Brian holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST. This is the story for his consecutive challenges for IT industry.
 
Bio:
Brian Ko, Ph.D. founded HiDeep in April 2010 as chief executive officer, responsible for leading the company’s strategic vision. He brings to HiDeep more than 22 years of experience building successful technology businesses.
Prior to founding Integrant Technologies, he was a senior RF (Radio Frequency) analog circuit design engineer for CDMA transceiver at Samsung Electronics.
Brian holds M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from KAIST.
