[New Faculty] Taesik Gong
2024.10.15Prof. Taesik Gong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Artificial Intelligence Graduate School at UNIST, where he leads the Ubiquitous Artificial Intelligence (UAI) Lab. Previously, he was a Research Scientist at Nokia Bell Labs and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. from the School of Computing at KAIST and received his B.S. in Computer Science from Yonsei University with Summa Cum Laude honors. His research interests include on-device AI, personalization, and ubiquitous computing. His work has been published in top-tier CS conferences, including NeurIPS, CVPR, UbiComp, SenSys, CHI, etc.. He is a recipient of the Google Ph.D. Fellowship and won the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award from both the School of Computing and the College of Engineering at KAIST. During his Ph.D., he did research internships at Google Research, Microsoft Research, and Nokia Bell Labs.
