NAVER Ph.D. Fellowship Award
UNIST CSE graduate students Jay H. Park (advisor Prof. Sam H. Noh) at Next-generation Embedded/Computer System Software Technology Lab (http://next.unist.ac.kr/) and Myeonggyun Han (advisor Prof. Woongki Baek) at Intelligent System Software Lab (http://issl.unist.ac.kr/) won the NAVER Ph.D. Fellowship Award. NAVER annually selects Ph.D students who have shown remarkable research achievements in computer science and awards the NAVER Ph.D. Fellowship.
Jay H. Park studies deep learning parallelized distributed training and presented the HetPipe paper at USENIX ATC 2020, the top-tier conference with a broad range of systems.
Myeonggyun Han’s research interests include parallel and distributed system and computer systems security. He published several papers at top-tier conferences (PACT 2019) and top-tier journals (TC, TPDS, TSC) in the field of computer systems.
USENIX ATC (USENIX Annual Technical Conference) and PACT (International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques) are top-tier conferences in the field of computer systems. IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS), and IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC) are top-tier journals in the field of computer systems.
