Paper accepted at Crypto 2017

Activities May 28, 2017

A paper jointly written by Prof. Fang Song (Portland State University) and Prof. Aaram Yun (UNIST) is accepted at CRYPTO 2017.

Titled “Quantum Security of NMAC and Related Constructions”, the paper proves the security of many pseudorandom functions including NMAC, against quantum adversaries who have not only quantum computational capabilities but also quantum communicational capabilities.  Cryptographic algorithms satisfying such ‘quantum security’ can be used to securely protect information not only now, but also in the far future, when quantum computers run distributed quantum protocols over the ‘quantum internet’.

First held in 1981, CRYPTO is one of the largest and most prestigious academic conferences in the field of cryptography.
