UNIST CSE students’ paper accepted at IISWC 2016
A research paper entitled “Quantifying the Performance Impact of Large Pages on In-Memory Big-Data Workloads” has been accepted for publication at IISWC’16. The paper is co-authored by a UNIST CSE graduate student (Jinsu Park), a UNIST CSE undergraduate student (Myeonggyun Han), and a UNIST CSE professor (Dr. Woongki Baek).
This work quantifies the performance impact of large pages on in-memory big-data workloads running on a large-scale NUMA system. In addition, this work discusses the possible performance optimizations for large pages and estimate the potential performance improvements.
IISWC is one of the major conferences in the field of workload characterization.
