CASL’s paper accepted at ICS 2017
A research paper entitled “The Design and Implementation of Bandwidth-Aware Memory Placement and Migration Policies for Bandwidth-Intensive Applications on Heterogeneous Memory Systems” has been accepted for publication at ICS’17. The paper is co-authored by graduate students (Seongdae Yu and Seongbeom Park) and the professor (Dr. Woongki Baek) of the Computer Architecture and Systems Lab. (CASL), CSE, UNIST.
This work investigates the design and implementation of memory placement and migration policies for bandwidth-intensive applications on heterogeneous memory systems. Through the quantitative evaluation based on real system software and hardware stacks, this work demonstrates that the proposed policies achieve significantly higher performance than the conventional bandwidth-oblivious policies.
